MIF POLICY UPDATES ad hoc COMMITTEE (Marijo Brantner, Chair)
The MIF Board of Directors determined the need for a Gift & Endowment Policy to outline:
The parameters for accepting gifts
How designated gifts will be managed
How undesignated gifts will be managed and, in he event of sizable gifts, direct that a minimum of 10% of gifts in excess of $10,000 be allocated to MIF’s Endowment Fund as ongoing support for the Foundation’s essential purpose.
The Board determined that MIF’s Investment Policy needed updating to:
Make it consistent with the Gifts and Endowments Policy
To reflect current market trends
The Board updated the By-Laws to
Include the new Gift & Endowment Policy, reflect the changes to the Investment Policy, and to refresh the document in support of current MIF operations.
